JAMB Gives Notice On 2025 UTME Registration
By Gideon Ayeni
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has advised prospective candidates for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) to commence early preparations for the upcoming registration exercise.
In a statement posted on its official X account on Wednesday, JAMB encouraged candidates to begin by securing essential registration requirements, including their National Identification Number (NIN) and a unique phone number.
“Candidates are advised to obtain their NIN and ensure they have a phone number that has not been previously used to register on our platform. This is necessary to generate a profile code ahead of registration,” JAMB stated in the notice to potential candidates ahead of the 2025 registration exercise.
JAMB also emphasized the importance of safeguarding the registration card used during the process.
“The card serves as your unique identifier with the Board. It must not be lost, and if it is misplaced, it must be retrieved promptly as it cannot be replaced.”
While registration details and guidelines will be announced in due course, the board unveiled The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba as the recommended text for the 2025 UTME Use of English examination.
Prospective candidates are urged to stay updated by following official JAMB announcements and preparing early to avoid last-minute challenges.
