Kunle Afod, a veteran actor and director with nearly four decades of experience in the Nigerian entertainment industry, has shared an important life lesson from his career.

Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, he stated, “There is no friend or foe anywhere.”

Afod advised against labeling people as permanent friends or enemies, explaining that relationships and circumstances can shift unexpectedly. He remarked, “Someone believed as a friend can turn to be a traitor, and another fellow perceived as an enemy may become instrumental to one’s success.”

Reflecting on his career, which began in 1986, Kunle Afod shared insights about human nature and relationships. “I have learned there are no friends or foes anywhere. I think it is better for people to be liberal. The person you see as your friend might come to stab you, and that fellow you see as your enemy might be the person that will help you,” he added.

In addition to these lessons, Afod revealed his plans to work on a major film project in 2025. He also announced new episodes of his ‘Proverbs Challenge’, a series aligned with his passion for creating engaging and competitive content. “This year, I am looking toward the big screen. I will also be coming up with new series of the Proverbs Challenge this year. I like creating content that is competitive,” he said.

For aspiring actors and directors, Kunle Afod offered advice on self-improvement. He encouraged them to continually enhance their skills and knowledge. “Directors should also be willing to carry out lots of research to improve on their work, upgrading their knowledge from time to time,” he concluded.
