Sowore Attacks Enenche Over Arrest Of Members Who Wore #BuhariMustGo T-Shirt

Omoyele Sowore was on Monday suspended as chairman of the African Action Congress, AAC by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party. He was suspended alongside members of his executive for a period of six months following which the suspension would be reviewed by the National Convention of the party.

Sowore who was also the presidential candidate of the party in the 2019 General Election was suspended following a meeting of the NEC. It was not known as at press time if Sowore who was sixth in the presidential election was present at the meeting.

The NEC gave as among others anti-party activities, failure to convene a meeting of the NEC among other reasons including financial issues.

A new acting national chairman, Leonard Nzenwa, was immediately sworn-in to act in the period of the suspension of Sowore and members of his executive.
