Christian Youth Group Warns Sowore Over Criticism Of Adeboye, Prominent Pastors
By Gideon Ayeni

The Concerned Christian Youth Forum (CCYF) has issued a stern warning to activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, cautioning him against making what they described as derogatory remarks about respected Christian leaders in Nigeria.
Led by its president, James Paul Adama, the Christian Youth group accused Sowore of cyberstalking, public insults, and inflammatory reporting targeted at revered figures such as Bishop Francis Wale Oke, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and Pastor Jerry Eze.
In a strongly worded statement, the CCYF warned that any further attacks on these religious leaders would be met with a decisive response. While acknowledging the importance of freedom of expression, the group emphasized that it should not be used to incite interfaith tensions or undermine the moral authority of spiritual figures.
The forum also called on the Federal Government to intervene, stressing the need to strike a balance between constructive criticism and respect for religious institutions. They urged Sowore to cease his alleged attacks, warning that continued defamation could have serious implications for national unity.
GWG.ng reports that this development comes shortly after Sowore demanded the arrest of popular Nigerian pastor Ebuka Obi over allegations of staged miracles. As tensions rise, it remains to be seen how the activist will respond to the latest warning from the Christian youth group.
