Collapse Of Uzodinma’s Alliance With Okorocha, Ararume Fits Into Prophesy

There is unease in the corridors of power in the Southeast over a prophesy by Father Ejike Mbaka that a South East governor will be removed.
Observers may not have taken the prophecy with seriousness but for the incident of January 2020 that saw Senator Hope Uzodinma emerge governor of Imo State.
Recall that Uzodinma placed fourth in the Imo governorship election of 2019 but came to power on the wings of the prophesy by Father Mbaka in 2019.
In his new revelation, Father Mbaka said “I see one Governor from South East sacked from office for being too proud, stubborn and not accommodative…he can remedy the disgrace by changing his style now”
Of all the South-East Governors, it is only Uzodinma that is still contending with legal issues.
He was recently dragged before the Abuja Division of the Federal High court by the Reform and Advancement Party (RAP) and its 2019 governorship candidate in Imo State, Mr. Okere Kingdom for a judicial interpretation on whether the All Progressives Congress (APC) actually sponsored him as it’s candidate for the said election.
RAR is specifically asking the court to order the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Governor Uzodinma and to issue a fresh one to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emeka Ihedioha as the validly elected governor of the state.
The suit is predicted against the backdrop of the judgment of the Supreme Court in appeal no: SC/1384/2019 which upheld the decision of both the Court of Appeal and the Federal High Court and affirmed Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as the authentic and duly elected/nominated 2019 Imo State governorship candidate of the APC
Of concern to the Uzodinma camp is that Nwosu is expected to join the case against him.
Nwosu is the son-in-law of former Governor Rochas Okorocha and was expected to take over.
On Uzodinma’s assumption of office, Okorocha, Nwosu and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume made effort to work with him.
But in a bid to build his power base, Uzodinma has lately edged out his rivals.
It is also generally alleged that that the governor is working against return of Ararume to the Senate.
