The comments of the founder of the All People’s Congress (APC), Ghana, Hassan Ayariga on the performance and health status of President Muhammadu Buhari in comparison with Ghanaian President, Nna Akufo-Ado have generated sharp reactions in the Nigerian social media space.

Ayariga, in a viral video, urged Ghanaians not to vote for President Akufo-Ado for the second time, claiming that the Ghana president is aging and cannot perform well due to age factor, just like Buhari.

The APC Ghana founder claimed that Buhari who is almost the same age grade with Akufo-Ado has “killed” Nigeria, while stressing that the Ghanaian President will take Ghana to a “sinking state” and will only perform as ceremonial president.

Ayariga said, “Nana (referring to the Ghana president) is 72 years old and weak already, sleeping every moment he gets, cannot be the president and if he wins, he is not the one who can manage the country.

“Nana has a health problem, that is a fact. We all have health problems at this age, not to talk of a man who is. Nigerians have given their country to Buhari, look at what is happening there. Buhari has killed the country.

“The country is dead, Nigeria is no more what it used to be. Are we bringing another Buhari in Ghana? Nana would not have the power, the strength to manage. That means we’re voting Nana as a ceremonial president but in the actual sense, somebody is going to do that job.”

The video has generated harsh criticisms on the performance of Buhari, as many Nigerians are lamenting over how the state of their country is taking  international dimension.

Former presidential spokesperson, Reno Omokri has shared a version of the video on his verified Twitter handle, with the caption, “Ghanaians Are Laughing At Nigerians, Saying “Buhari Has Killed Nigeria!”

Many Nigerians have commented on the post with harsh comments.
