The occasion was also momentous for Chief Dan Orbih, the national vice-chairman of the PDP, South-South as it further consolidated his hold on the political machine in his voting ward with the opposition losing its head and significant followership.

Itsisor was received by Orbih, at the ceremony which took place at the Ward 4 campaign ground.

Speaking on his reason for defection, he said:

“Gov. Godwin Obaseki is great man. His developmental strides are the major reason why I dumped APC for PDP.

“The governor has done well in his first tenure in office and deserved a second term. Edo people are proud of him.

“I have decided to lead other members of my ward to join him in moving the state forward,” he said.

In his remarks, Gov. Obaseki, commended the people of Ogbona for their massive turn out at the campaign ground.

“Your turn out in today’s rally is like a local government campaign. I am overwhelmed. This large turn out is commendable,” he said.
