COVID-19 Spike Feared As 213 New Cases Emerge
Nigeria recorded 213 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday as fears of a spike in the pandemic surged. The fear of a spike follows the perception of people increasingly lowering their guards against protective measures.
The 213 new cases in 16 states and the FCT brought the total number of infections recorded in the country to 58,062 with 49,606 persons discharged and 1,103 deaths.
Lagos and Plateau with 51 new infections each were in front of the pack of the new infections on Friday according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
