Florence Ajimobi’s Supermarket Engulfed By Fire

Four months after she lost her husband, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the former First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi may have also lost her up-scale supermarket in Ibadan.

The supermarket, Grandex Supermarket located in Bodija was engulfed by fire on Sunday afternoon.

The fire according to sources emanated from a fire in one of the back offices of the elite supermarket. Mrs. Ajimobi arrived in the middle of the inferno while fire-fighting machines also came to try to put out the inferno.

Mrs. Ajimobi lost her husband last June. Senator Ajimobi was governor of Oyo State between 2011 and 2019. He became the first governor in the history of Oyo State to serve two terms.

He, however, lost his bid to proceed to the Senate in the 2019 elections.
