Popular Actress Confirms Love Life With IBB Over
Popular Kannywood actress, Ummi Ibrahim, better known as Ummi Zee Zee, has confirmed the popular rumour that she dated Military President Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), Daily Trust has reported.
Babangida ruled Nigeria between 1985 and 1993 following the removal of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as head of state.
The relationship between the popular actress and Babangida had been the rife of speculation for a long time even though they had never been seen together in public.
However, confirming that there was a relationship in an interview with Daily Trust’s Weekend Magazine, Zee Zee said she had broken up with IBB.
“Former Head of State General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida was my boyfriend then but not anymore.
“However, we are presently friends and we respect each other. Currently, I have a boyfriend who is not in the entertainment industry and we are planning to get married, God willing.”
IBB lost Maryam, his wife in 2009 and he has not remarried since then.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the leading actress had on the occasion of Babangida’s 76th birthday in 2016 penned on her Instagram page celebrating him thus:
“Happy birthday my heart king…..” Ummi captioned one of his photos. “All I see is him #birthday man#” she wrote on another.
Besides being an actress, Ummi Zee Zee is also known to express political views and sees herself as a politician and has a picture of Atiku Abubakar on her Instagram page.
Besides, she is also known as a Michael Jackson aficionado.
