How UNILORIN Student Beat Up Lecturer To Coma
A student of the University of Ilorin, UNILORIN beat his lecturer to coma, within an inch of her life authorities of the institution have confirmed.
The student involved it was gathered is a 400-level student of the Department of Microbiology of the university.
The student, simply identified as Captain Walz, reportedly didn’t observe the compulsory Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and sought the lecturer’s help.

The victim, identified as Mrs Zakaria is said to be the student’s project supervisor.
The incident, it was gathered, happened on Thursday.
According to findings, the student had gone to the woman’s office to seek her help over his failure to do his SIWES.
But following the lecturer’s refusal, Walz reportedly became furious and assaulted Mrs Zakariya inflicting severe injuries on her.
She was subsequently rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The Director of Corporate Affairs of UNILORIN, Mr Kunle Akogun confirmed the development of the student beating a lecturer to coma in a session with newsmen over the telephone on Saturday night.
“Yes, the incident is true but the lecturer is now in a stable condition. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Abdulkareem Age visited her in the company of some Dean’s and other university staff.
“They described further described the incident unfortunate and sad and assured justice will be done on the matter.
“He ordered proper care of the victim on the bill of the University of Ilorin ”, Akogun added.
