El-Rufai Joyful As Army Kills 4 Major Bandits
Kaduna State Government, on Sunday, said the military has succeeded in killing four notorious bandits in a valley popularly known as ‘Maikwandaraso’ in Igabi Local Government Area. The news of the killing was received with gratitude by Governor Nasir El-Rufai who urged the military to press harder against the bandits.
The four identified bandits were killed via air interdictions when the military engaged the bandits at the location, as part of the combined ground and air assaults on identified bandit enclaves.
The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this in a statement.
He listed the names of the bandits killed as Alili Bandiro, Dayyabu Bala, Bala Nagwarjo, and Sulele Bala.
The statement further stated that several other bandits were eliminated in the same cycle of air interdictions and ground offensives.
“Receiving the report, Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed his satisfaction at the development, and thanked the military for their concerted efforts at ridding the identified areas of armed bandits,” he said.
Governor El-Rufai commended the troops and personnel involved in the successful strikes and encouraged them to sustain the tempo of operations towards a comprehensive sweep of all hideouts towards making the state free of bandits.
Maikwandaraso is close to Karshi village and shares boundaries with the infamous Kawara and Malul forests in the same Igabi LGA, which have been identified as the hub of several armed bandit camps and hideouts.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Governor El-Rufai has been in the eye of the storm over his principled stance not to negotiate with bandits who have in the recent times turned Kaduna State into a killing field.
