Aisha Buhari’s Brother, Halilu Says Adamawa Gov Lacks Educational Qualification
Dr. Mahmood Halilu, brother of First Lady Aisha Buhari has said that Governor Bindow Jibrilla of Adamawa State lacks the basic educational qualification to contest for the governorship. Dr. Halilu in an interview said the party would face a colossal defeat in the election if it fields Jibrilla who he accused of running a very poor government that has led to seven months arrears of salaries and caused the ballooning of the state’s debts from N9 billion to N90 billion.
Halilu who is an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship ticket for Adamawa State also affirmed that his sister, Aisha Buhari has not intervened in his quest saying that he did not inform her before he joined the contest.
Halilu who spoke to TVC on Wednesday morning called on the party to take the window opened to it to substitute the governor to avoid what he described as a colossal defeat.
