Governor Udom Emmanuel has rebuked political stakeholders in the state who he accused of plotting to simulate a state of insecurity in the state for their political objectives.

The governor spoke at a town-hall meeting with the Akwa Ibom community in Abuja on Tuesday during which he promised that 80% of food consumed in the state would be produced in the state in his second term.

“This is the first time in the history of our dear state that we are hearing how Warsaw will see war and war will see Warsaw. Satan shame unto you because all power belong to God.”

He said that he had asked God to use him as a channel to uplift the fortunes of the state and said that he was on that course given the landmark achievements he had made in areas including health, agriculture, and in the industrialisation of the state.

The reception was attended by several prominent citizens from the state including the speaker of the House of Assembly, Onofiok Luke and the erstwhile minister of lands and housing, Nduese Essien.

Luke described the governor as a humble man who does not boast about his works.
