Why DSS Interrogated Oshiomhole

The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole was drilled for hours last Sunday by the Department of State Services, DSS over allegations of inducement during the recent party primaries, sources have told gwgng.com.

The drilling of the national chairman of the APC, it was, however, gathered was aimed at orchestrating his resignation as national chairman of the party as a way of satisfying the interests of some governors. Two governors, Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State are being alleged by associates of Oshiomhole of having instigated the arrest of the national chairman.

Oshiomhole it was, however, gathered bluntly refused the pressure from the DSS operatives to resign his appointment and insisted on facing President Muhammadu Buhari who he claimed made him chairman and before whom he would resign.

Upon their failure to get him to resign, Oshiomhole was released following which he immediately went to the Presidential Villa to meet the president who denied knowledge of his interrogation by the DSS and promised to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile the APC has denied knowledge of the arrest of the national chairman of the party and said that he travelled out of the country.

gwgng.com gathered that Oshiomhole may have left the country on Monday.

In his denial of the interrogation of the chairman, party spokesman, Lanre Issa-Onilu said:

“We do not have any information on this rumour. More so, the Chairman is not around in the country to confirm or deny this. As soon as we have any relevant information, you’ll be updated,” he said.
