Parliamentary Staff Vow To Shut Down National Assembly
Parliamentary staff in the National Assembly acting through the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) have vowed to shut down legislative activities from Tuesday to protest the failure to address their welfare concerns.
PASAN in a statement issued by its secretary general, Comrade Suleiman Haruna, said the first stage of the shutdown of the National Assembly would be effected between Tuesday and Sunday, December 8, 2018.
The statement particularly cited the failure of the National Assembly to pay salaries and promotion arrears.
