Group links Delta’s Progress to victory for Buhari, Ogboru

Ogboru appointment

The Niger Delta Peace Coalition (NDPC) has called on the electorate in Delta State to vote President Muhammadu Buhari this Saturday on the claim that his election would help the All Progressives Congress, APC’s governorship candidate in the state to perform creditably as governor.

National coordinator of the group, Zik Gbemere in a statement weekend said the election of Buhari and Ogboru in the forthcoming election would be pivotal to the transformation of Delta State and liberation from 20 years of being yoked to a cabal that has held the state in bondage.

“Aside the fact that President Buhari is a very principled and disciplined political leader, we, as Deltans, need him to support Ogboru when he gets elected, to revive all the abandoned Ports in Delta State and build a state-of-the-art Airport in Osubi, Warri.

When President Buhari named Ogboru as Presidential Candidate!

“We also need President Buhari to support the incoming Government of the APC administration led by Ogboru in Delta State, to build standard infrastructure and basic amenities that will turn Delta State into a business hub in the South-South. Delta State has more natural ports than any other state in the country. Lagos is congested already with population and sea vessels, hence we need to bring the development of Delta Ports to fruition, since the Ports here are closer to Abuja and the entire North.

“We also need Buhari to bring back Shell (SPDC) and other multinationals that have left Delta State since the PDP administration. In my own opinion, I see President Buhari winning the entire South West, the entire North West, North East, and also major States in the North central and some states in the South South and one or two states in the South East. So, I don’t want Delta State to loose out in this coming victory of President Buhari.”

“Deltans need him to help join the incoming APC Governor for us to see the desires changes in the State. My major concern here is for us to revive the once booming Delta State. Delta State, has been loosing revenues to other States, including withholding taxes, companies’ taxes and employments, etc., are all being lost to other States. This has to change.”

Not voting for President Buhari will be a costly mistake on our part as Deltans.
