Ogun born multi-billionaire businessman, Sir Kesington Adebutu has separated himself from the office sharing deal between his son and Governor Ibikunle Amosun and his adopted political successor.

Under the agreement made public on Thursday, Ladi Adebutu who was the governorship candidate of a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP resolved to work for the emergence of Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM who is also the adopted political successor of Governor Amosun.

Ladi Adebutu’s aspiration, however, ran into a logjam after the courts gave recognition to the PDP faction which produced Senator Buruji Kashamu as the candidate. It was upon that decision that Ladi Adebutu reached an agreement with Amosun and his adopted political son, Akinlade.

Ladi Adebutu’s father, Sir Kessington has, however, washed himself off the agreement saying in a statement issued on Friday that he would support the emergence of an Ijebu man in the person of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the next governor of the state.

Ladi Adebutu is on his own according to his father

In a statement issued on his behalf by his media consultant, Princelyn Oduenyi on Friday, it was said that:

SIR KESINGTON ADEBUTU has distancedhimself from son’s political calculations saying, Ladi is on his own.

The octogenarian business mogul said that Ladi has lost his case in the court and therefore, it will be in the interest of everybody to rally support for another Ijebu son in the person of Dapo Abiodun in Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
