Rape: Fatoyinbo To Stop Preaching

Published

on

Biodun Fatoyinbo, the global senior pastor of COZA has announced a break from preaching to seek spiritual healing, he announced on Monday morning.

The pastor who has been accused of serial sexual misdemeanours said that his decision was prompted by the counsel of his spiritual mentors and the decision not to allow the controversy stirred by the latest rape allegation against him to be a distraction to the Lord’s work as he so called it.

Fatoyinbo was lately accused by Mrs. Busola Dakolo of raping her when she was 16 years and reportedly telling her that she should be happy that a “man of God” disvirgined her.

In his posting he was, however, vague on how long he would be away from the pulpit and it is improbable that his vague admission of guilt will in anyway sooth those who have taken umbrage at his attitude.

Though Fatoyinbo denied the allegation in a statement issued on Saturday, that did not stop hundreds of Nigerians coming to protest against him on Sunday morning.

He did not mention who would take charge in his absence and the statement would show that he was only stepping aside from preaching.
