Senator Detained Over Sex Toy Shop Assault

Senator Elisha Abbo at the centre of the assault on a nursing mother at a sex toy shop in Abuja has been detained by the FCT Police.

The detention of the senator was reported by Channels Television and it follows the uproar that followed the revelation of the assault.

Other police sources have also told GWG that the policemen involved in the assault are also being detained.

“The policemen involved are being held,” a source at the FCT Police Command revealed.

Channels reported that the detention was confirmed by the FCT Police Commissioner, Mr Bala Ciroma.

Senator Abbo who was summoned by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Wednesday over the issue has offered profuse apologies to the public and to the woman he assaulted.
