Pastor Adeboye Makes Serious Demands On Restructuring

Though one of Nigeria’s most exposed personalities, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG has, however, almost refrained from making political declarations. And certainly not restructuring given the fact that as general overseer of Nigeria’s largest Pentecostal congregation that his flock spread across all segments of the polity.

However, on Thursday as an Intensive Care Unit, ICU built in the Redemption Camp was commissioned, Daddy G.O. as he is popularly known broke the barrier to speak on the polity with his call on the kind of restructuring he wants to take place in the country.

With Governor Dapo Abiodun and traditional rulers seated in the audience, Pastor Adeboye said:

“Any kind of restructuring that we do as a country we must have a special place for traditional rulers. Any form of government that ignores the traditional rulers will be faulty because the traditional rulers had been ruling us before the British came.

“In whatever restructuring we are doing…after all in Britain they have the House of Lords and as young as I am I remember that we used to have a House of Chiefs,” the G.O. said in his short address at the occasion.

Prince Abiodun on his part who said as a member of the RCCG that he felt goose pimples especially given the role the G.O. had in his election. He said at all times that the G.O. prayed for him whenever he came around for prayers before the election.
