Police Re-Arrest Suspected Kidnap Kingpin, Wadume

The kidnap kingpin Hamisu Wadume who was arrested by police but released by soldiers in Taraba State has been re-arrested in Kano, the police in Abuja confirmed on Tuesday.

The re-arrest was confirmed in a series of tweets by the police on Tuesday. The arrest was effected by operatives of the Inspector-General Response Team in the Layin Mai Allo Hotoro area of Kano State on Monday night and he was promptly whisked to Abuja.

He is presently in custody at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. IGP Mohammed Adamu has commended the his men for their their perseverance which he said led to the prompt re-arrest of the wanted suspected kidnapper.
