The flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the November 16 Guber elections, Chief David Lyon Pereworimini has heartily expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva, the party leadership and the party faithful of the APC for reposing confidence in him at the just concluded primary of the party.

He said there is no doubt that the massive voting for him at the primary is a pointer to that effect, while assuring Bayelsans that he would run an all-inclusive and transparent government when the time comes, having felt the pains of the economic woes brought to the state due to human greed and maladministration.

In a statement signed personally by David Lyon, also commended the INEC and the various security agencies for conducting very peaceful party primaries which is adjudged as one of the most peaceful, transparent and credible in most recent times in the annals of the state.

Stressing that governance is a serious activity, Lyon promised to bring his wealth of experience both in the private and public sectors to bear, when voted into power as a good servant to take the state to an enviable height of excellence, meeting the dreams and expectations of the founding fathers.

Pereworimini said without mincing words with flattery, but believing on God Almighty that if entrusted with the common wealth of the state, Bayelsans will not be disappointed; pensioners will be paid as when due, civil servants will receive their salaries promptly and youths will be gainfully employed with guaranteed security.

The APC flag-bearer, however extend his hand of fellowship to all Bayelsans irrespective of party affiliation to join hands with him to develop the state as well as congratulating his former co-aspirants for the magnanimity displayed, assuring that there is no victor, no vanquish, while urging them to join hands together with him to deliver the state from the quagmire of hunger, poverty and deprivation that have bedeviled it.
