Real Madrid Academy: Great Achievement For Rivers State, Says Lawmaker

Rivers State Lawmaker, Honourable Major Jack, has lauded Governor Nyesom Wike, for the completion of a ratification agreement, between the state government and Real Madrid Football Club, noting that the Real Madrid academy, is another great achievement which has been recorded in the state.

Jack, in a statement, issued on Monday, described Wike’s fulfilment of his pledge to establish the academy, as a show of care to the people of Rivers State.

He said “Governor Nyesom Wike has always shown to Rivers people how much he cares about the future of our people. This is another great thing for Rivers State. We all know the advantage of this development.

“Real Madrid  is a world class football club. I felt joy when I saw these little kids from Port Harcourt on Super Sports the other day. In the nearest future, we will see them playing in the big football clubs of the world.”

He said that the academy will provide a good platform and opportunity to nurture the young ones in the state into world class footballers, as well as creating a good image of the state, and country, in the world of sports.

He further called on the people of the state, and sports lovers across Nigeria, to key into the vision of the Rivers State governor, as according to him, he has redefined the history of the state to the world.
