Dokpesi’s Defection Not True, APC Now Desperate – Orbih

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo State, Chief Dan Orbih has debunked the trending social media report about the imminent defection of broadcast mogul, Chief Raymond Dokpesi to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Orbih in a statement made available to GreenWhiteGreen wondered why “a serious minded Nigerian” would contemplate going to the APC which he said had yet to fulfill most of its election promises and left Nigerian infrastructure in disrepair.

His reaction followed the trending news on social media that “Chairman of AIT High Chief Raymond Dokpesi set to join @officialAPCNg.*

*Just in case you start seeing AIT airing pro-@MBuhari things, don’t fret. Oga don port sharply”*

Reacting to the development, Orbih said:
“Not true. We were together at a PDP meeting on Monday in Abuja. Why are they still shopping for PDP members? By now their achievements should speak for them. Why will any serious-minded Nigerian go to APC?

“Is it because they have not been able to fix the bad roads? Halt the growing insecurity in the country? Soaring cost of living? Not able to implement minimum wage? Hunger and unemployment that is destroying our youths?

“Only soldiers of fortunes that think only of themselves will move to APC in the face of government abysmal failure to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

 “From the tyranny of a failed government, Lord deliver us. Amen.”
