Governorship Election: Supreme Court Reaffirms Okowa, Ikpeazu, Bello’s Victory

The, Supreme Court, on Wednesday, put to rest the petitions challenging the victories of Govenor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State in the March 9, 2019 governorship elections.
The apex court dismissed the appeal filled by the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Dr. Alex Otti, challenging the victory of Ikpeazu of Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State.
Also, the  court dismissed the appeal filed by Mohammed Nasko of the Peoples Democratic Party, challenging  the victory of Bello of the All Progressives Congress in the March 2019 election.
The court also reaffirmed the reelection of Ifeanyi Okowa, by dismissing the appeal of Great Ogboru of the APC, challenging the victory of Okowa in the governorship election.
