Remember What War Caused in Sudan, Iraq, Tinubu Warns Secessionists

A Non-Governmental Organisation,  Save Lagos Group, has said that they are not comfortable by the decision of the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu to remain silent over the raging controversy on the recently launched operation Amotekun.

The group therefore urged him to make a declaration on the outfit within the next 24 hours.

The Convener of the group Adeniyi Sulaiman, said that it is imperative for Tinubu regarded as a political leader in the South-West to be courageous and make his position known.

Some days after the launching, the Federal Government through the Attorney General of the Federation, (AGF)Abubakar Malami, SAN,  declared the outfit as illegal.

Sulaiman asked Tinubu, who had been supporting restructuring, to be courageous regardless of his rumoured Presidential ambition.

He said it was hypocritical of the Federal Government to allow Shariah Police, Hisbah, to operate in more than 10 northern states while it declared Amotekun, which is operating only in the Southwest

Sulaiman said the safety of the people of the Southwest was worth more important than any Presidential ambition.

He commended several personalities like Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka; Afenifere chieftain, Chief Ayo Debanjo; activist, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN; Chief Olu Falae, Otunba Gani Adams and several others for speaking up for the people of the region.
