Blow For PDP As Kano Chairman Defects To APC

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Kano State has been hit with a big blow after the chairman of the caretaker committee of the party, Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi, dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Bichi claimed he had been marginalized in the affairs of the party! He said the resignation did not have anything to do with the party’s loss of its petition at the Supreme Court to reverse the outcome of the governorship election.
An associate of the former chairman said:
“The decision of Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi was not related to the outcome of the Supreme Court judgement. It was purely based on principles and personal conviction,” a close political associate who preferred begged for anonymity said.
“In the affairs of Kwankwasiyya, Rabiu Bichi has been lately rendered irrelevant, ostracised and sidelined from the decision-making of the Kwankwasiyya movement. Despite his commitment to the cause, he was looked down upon as a saboteur.”
