Sanwo-Olu Under Fire Over Okada Ban

The ban of commercial motorcycles and tricycles in six local government areas in Lagos State has sparked outrage on social media, especially Twitter.
Those who reacted to the development lambasted overnor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for initiating the policy.
The Lagos State Government, in a statement, on Monday, through the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotosho announced a ban on the operations of commercial motorcycles and tricycles in six local government areas and nine local council development areas starting from February 1st, 2020.
Since the announcement of the ban, social media has been awash with comments from Lagosians on the implications of the ban on their socio-economic activities, while business analysts have continued to highlight the implications of the ban on organized motorcycle ventures like Opay and Gokada.
