Okada ban in Lagos

By Ayodele Oluwafemi

Some twitter users have launched a campaign to organise a protest against the ban imposed on motorcycles and tricycles (Okada and Keke) by the Lagos State Government.

The social media organisers who have planned the protest for Saturday have tagged the campaign #OccupyLagos.

The hashtag #OccupyLagos has generated over 13,000 tweets with reactions bordering on the negative implications of the ban on Lagosians.

Those who have reacted to the #OccupyLagos, on Twitter, are asking the Lagos State Government to reinstate regulated motorcycles like Max, Oride and Gokada and regulate the unregistered ones.

The organizers of the protest has fixed Eko Atlantic at the axis of meeting point, with the time to be communicated later.
