Congratulatory messages have continued to greet the appointment of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as a member of South Africa Economic Advisory Council by the country’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala served as Minister of Finance, twice, during the administrations of former presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.

Okonjo-Iweala was appointed as one of the highly rated economists to lead South Africa out of the recent recession that has hit the country’s economy.

Many Nigerians took to the social media, especially Twitter, to congratulate the ex-minister for achieving another feat at the continental stage.

Former president, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate in 2019 presidential election, Peter Obi had congratulated Okonjo-Iweala on their official Twitter accounts.
