The All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairmen Forum has disowned an endorsement passed on Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the embattled national chairman of the party saying the forum would meet before the scheduled March 17th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to take a decision.

Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Hon. Lawal Liman revealed this in a statement on Tuesday indicating that the worse is not over for Oshiomhole.

He described the endorsement on Oshiomhole supposedly issued by the forum’s chairman and secretary, Ali Bukar Dalori and Dr. Ben Nwoye respectively as a fraud. He said the forum did not meet as alleged in the statement to take a position.

Noting how the endorsement of Oshiomhole roused questions among state chairmen who called him on the issue, he said:
“l have told them that no such thing happened and that they should disregard the statement”, said Hon. Liman.

“We had agreed, in the past, that nobody should issue a statement, in the name of the Forum, if the chairmen had not met and accepted the release of such statements”.

While calling for restraint from members on the court injunction against Oshiomhole, he said:

“l want to confirm to my colleagues that there was no meeting held and there was no statement issued to pass a Vote of Confidence on the National Chairman”.

“All issues would be resolved at the next NEC meeting and, hopefully, we will hold a meeting of the Forum before the said NEC meeting”.

“We will not, in any way, bring the name of the Forum to disrepute by doing what will take away our credibility”.
