APC Crisis Worsens As Court Orders Pro-Oshiomhole NWC Members Not To Frustrate NEC Meeting

The All Progressives Congress, APC, was on Wednesday night headed for a formal split in its national leadership after two national officers were ordered by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja from frustrating next Tuesday’s National Executive Committee, NEC meeting.

Those restrained on Wednesday were the National Legal Adviser, Babatunde Ogala, the National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu and Waziri Bulama who had been penned down as the next secretary of the state was also listed.

The injunction granted by Justice S.U. Bature read in part:

“An order of the Honourable Court restraining the 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants either by themselves, their agents or privies or any member of the 4th defendant from interfering with disturbing or taking any steps or actions howsoever described towards disrupting the meeting of the National Executive Committee convened by the 4th Defendant’s National Working Committee members scheduled for 17th March, 2020 or any subsequent date pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice already served.”
