Days after he complained in a leaked video message that his soldiers were battling Boko Haram without sufficient arms, the Theater Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major-General, Olusegun Adeniyi has been redeployed as a research fellow in the army’s think tank.

Expectedly, social activists have fumed over the development. Among those reacting were Comrade Deji Adeyanju and Aisha Yesufu who urged President Muhammadu Buhari to step in asserting that it was now apparent that some people were profiting from Boko Haram war.

The redeployment followed the leak of a video earlier in the week where Gen. Adeniyi was seen apparently complaining to a superior officer in Abuja of the dire situations on the war front.

He complained amongst others of lack of platforms and intelligence even as he blurted “We are not running away, we are on ground here sir..”

Adeniyi was one of 22 generals redeployed in a press release by the Army spokesman Col. Sagir Musa on Tuesday.

He was redeployed to become a research fellow in the Nigerian Army Research Centre, NARC based in Abuja.

The research centre which was established on 20th November 2015, “is conceptualized as a national ‘Think-Tank’ with the sole aim of furthering the interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the defence Services.”

GreenWhiteGreen gathered reactions of Nigerians on the development on twitter.
