COVID-19: Osinbajo Is Not Missing – Spokesman

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande has asked Nigerians to ignore questions or agitations over the whereabouts of his boss in the wake of the poor visibility of both President Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo.

Among Nigerians who have been very vocal in demanding that the country’s number one and number two citizens show presence is Reno Omokri, who served as a senior aide in the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

Omokri had again gone to twitter on Saturday to ask “Where are General @MBuhari and Pastor @ProfOsinbajo?,”

“The more you look for them, the less you see of them.”

“It is as if Nigeria has a government in absentia. Leaders should be more visible in a crisis. In our own case, our leaders are the crisis we face!”

Responding on Sunday afternoon, Mr. Akande in a tweet said the vice-president is visible holding meetings with President Buhari, ministers and other officials of government on a twitter hashtag OsinbajoIsActive
