Clerics Called Out As Catholic Bishops Offer Clinics

Many Nigerians have taken to the microblogging platform, Twitter to commend the gesture of the Catholic Church for donating its 425 health facilities across the country for COVID-19 isolation centres.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, disclosed the donation on Monday, urging state government to make use of the facilities in their states.
Without pointing at other denominations and religions, many Twitter users, however, noted that the example of the Catholic Bishops was an example many of them were yet to follow.
Recall that Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had said no state in the country has enough bed spaces for COVID-19 patients.
The gesture of the Catholic Church has been widely commended on Twitter by Nigerians, who praised the Church for showing a good example.
