IG Probes E-Money, Withdraws Police Orderlies

The police have launched an investigation into the source of wealth of multi-billionaire man around town, Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as E-Money.

The Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed who gave the order has also directed the immediate withdrawal of his police entourage asking the basis for the allotment of heavily armed police detachment to the 39-year-old man.

The policemen acting as personal aides have been withdrawn

E-money is the younger brother of the singer and performer – Kcee. He was born in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria on the 18th of February 1981. While some people call him E-money, some others call him Arab money, because of his generosity and lavish lifestyle.

The IG wants an investigation of his source of wealth

Lagos police spokesman Bala Elkana who confirmed the withdrawal of the escorts but said he was not aware of the details. “It is true that his escorts have been withdrawn and an investigation ongoing. I do not have much information on it.”

Meanwhile, the police is to investigate the young billionaire’s source of wealth and his treatment of the policemen who he is alleged to have used as domestic servants.
