Ikpeazu Flayed For Taking Treatment In Abuja

Reactions have continued to trail the news that the governor of Abia state, Okekie Ikpeazu tested positive for COVID-19.
The commissioner of information in the state, Okekie Ikpeazu, in a statement, on Monday, said the governor has gone into isolation, having handed over power to the deputy governor, Hon Ude Oko Chukwu.
Abia recorded the highest confirmed cases of COVID-19, on Sunday, 7th June, 2020, with 67 cases, making the total confirmed cases in the state to 83.
Mixed reactions have trailed the news that Ikpeazu has tested positive for COVID-19, on the microblogging platform, Twitter.
Some section of Twitter users criticized the governor for handling the COVID-19 pandemic in the state with kid gloves, however some wished him quick recovery.
Many twitter users also chided the governor for allegedly taking treatment in Abuja and not using any one of the isolation centres provided by the Abia State Government in the state.
