Governor Olarotimi Akeredolu has gone into isolation following a positive diagnosis for Coronavirus, the agent that causes COVID-19.

The governor in a broadcast on Tuesday said that he received a positive confirmation of the test conducted on him following an episode of malaria.

The governor who said he is presently asymptomatic, has nevertheless charged his political supporters to remain dogged in the struggle for his second term.

The governor who said that he got tested for COVID-19 said that “the result came out today 30th June 2020 and I tested positive.

“But I am asymptomatic. I am not feeling sick,  neither am I feeling hot in any way but my doctors have decided that I should take the normal treatment and self-isolate.

“I believe that supervised home management will be ideal for me for now and for now, so for now I will be isolated and go on with the supervised home management.

“Let me assure our people that there are many of us like this that don’t have the symptoms, you cannot see it but in few days time we will conduct another test.

“Let me assure our people that here at home, I am attending to files which is the normal thing I do and there is nothing that will stop the work going on.

“I want to plead with my political associates that they should continue with the project, we are sure to win.

“As you know, I am gifted to get through to my destination knowing that I am a man with special gifts. My trust in God to get through this is unshaken

“I thank God and I pray to God for His hand of healing to remain on us. My people if you have malaria or other things, get tested you can never know. I thank God for the discovery of this on time.

“Because some of us manipulate this medium of communicating, I am the one, no other person this is your governor Olarotimi Oduanyo Akeredolu, SAN your own Alarukurin.”
