Veteran Musician Says He Has Not Finished God’s Purpose On Earthy

Nigerian music legend, Ebenezer Obey has dismissed rumours of his death saying he is yet to finish the purpose of God for him on earth.
His assertion followed wild speculations on social media at the weekend on his death reportedly in a London hospital on account of COVID-19.
Amidst the rumour, veteran journalist, Dele Momodu dismissed the report as fake, saying ‘Pls ignore the FAKE news, CHIEF COMMANDER EBENEZER OBEY FABIYI is alive.”
The 78-year-old musician, in an Instagram live chat with Dele Momodu, said he had received several calls from different quarters over the veracity of the death news, noting that he had not finished God’s purpose upon his life.
Speaking in English and Yoruba languages, he said, “My phone has been ringing all day, people have been calling me. I’m not surprised by the love people have shown towards me.
“I must finish my purpose, it is not yet to for me to die. I have not completed my purpose and assignment. Death is inevitable though.”
