Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has denied assertions of having pledged not to campaign for the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu upon the insinuations fired by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole during the 2016 campaign.

Oshiomhole had at that time raised allegations against Ize-Iyamu who was at that time the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate.

The allegations bordering on crimes have now been denied been Ize-Iyamu.

A fake tweet had circulated on social media in which Governor Zulum, a member of the APC National Campaign Council had pledged not to ever campaign for Ize-Iyamu upon the allegations raised by Oshiomhole.

However, refuting the claims in a tweet from his official twitter handle, the governor said:

Governor Zulum has been hailed as one of the most progressive APC governors in the country with a popularity crossing across many segments of the population.
