Hushpuppi: Anger As Dubai Job Firm Bars Nigerians

Angry reactions have continued to trail a job application offer from a Dubai recruitment firm, which excluded Nigerians from Africans who can apply.
The screenshots of the job opening with the name of the company as Shirley Recruitment Consultants have been shared on social media, sparking outrage.
One of the job qualifications states ‘Male or female African candidates except Nigerians”
Recall that Nigeria-born, Ramon Olorunwa Abass aka Hushpuppi and Lekan Ponle aka Woodberry and 11 others were arrested in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for alleged Cyber fraud, defrauding over 1.9million victims in the tune of N168 million and subsequently extradited to United States Of America for trial.
This is not the first instance that Nigerians would be denied great opportunities , abroad due to the “fraud” perception ascribed to the country, following the activities of a few Nigerians who engage in cyber fraud.
Many Nigerians took to Twitter to lament the negative perception of the country in the eyes of international community, which is hindering innocent Nigerians from engaging in legitimate businesses outside the shore of the country.
