Shock As Oyo Leads New In COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria on Friday recorded 591 new cases of COVID-19 in 16 states and the FCT the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC reported late in the day.

The highest report of the pandemic was in Oyo State which reported a record 191 new cases of the disease, followed by Lagos with 168 cases and the FCT 61.

The new cases brought the total number of cases of the pandemic recorded in the country to 39,539 cases.

There were 12 mortalities also recorded on Friday which brought the total number of deaths in the country to 845 with 16,559 persons having been recorded as recovered from the disease.
