Fresh Questions Over Who Killed Funsho Williams

To commemorate the memory of the deceased Lagos politician, Funsho Williams who was murdered 14 years many Nigerians have taken to the microblogging platform to render tributes and ask questions about the whereabouts of the unknown persons who killed him.

Funsho Williams was murdered on 27th July, 2006 at Dolphin Estate, in Ikeja, Lagos State.

He was expected to become the Peoples Democratic Party, governorship candidate in Lagos for the 2007 election. He was expected to win the PDP ticket and faced off whosoever was presented by the Ahmed Tinubu tendency.

Williams was tipped by many to make a good show in the election but was midway in the pre-election season cut down by yet unknown persons.

Those who were arrested as suspects in connection with Williams’s death were freed by the court, as there were no substantive evidences to nail them.

The question, “Who killed Funsho Williams?” has been repeatedly asked by supporters and sympathizers of the late Williams.

On the 14 anniversary of the gruesome murder, many Nigerians, took to Twitter, asking the question “Who killed Funsho Williams?” with tributes in honour of the late politicians.
