The rumour that controversial On-Air-Personality, OAP, Toke Makinwa, lost her Banana Island, Lagos State home to the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), arising from alleged debts put her on the spot on social media.

Fans and critics came on social media to shade the OAP over claims yet unfounded that the house she lived in was bought for her by oil mogul, Festus Fadeyi.

A section of Twitter users used the claimed the presenter depended on a “sugar daddy” to own an apartment in Banana Island but would come to the social media to preach hard work and mock poor men.

Her fans and sympathizers, however, hit back and defended her over the alleged loss.

Amid the backlash, Toke who refused  to confirm or debunk the report came to twitter to affirm that she would continue to help those shaming her, if they ask for assistance.

A Twitter user, @Awesome_Arthur while defending Makinwa wrote, “Amazing to see how many people here are ready to believe in negativity to cover up for their own failures in life. @tokstarr take note of these names, they will be in your DM’s begging for assistance by week’s end . #Fakenews.”

Responding, Makinwa said: “And we shall help them ?????. We move.”

Recall that years ago, the children of Festus Fadeyi took to the social media to raise alarm over the way their father is spending money on Toke, while refusing to pay up his debts in defunt skye bank.
