Nigerians have taken to social media to criticise the All progressives Party ( APC) national leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu over his criticism of Governor Godwin Obaseki arising from the failure of some members of the state House of Assembly to take their seats a year after the inauguration of the assembly.

Tinubu had via his Twitter handle accused Governor Obaseki of assaulting constitutional democracy and the rule of law by halting the inauguration of 13  elected members of the Edo State House of Assembly .

According to him, the act was a mockery of the constitution of the country as it portrayed the governor as a dictator.

But Nigerians who took to their social media platforms attacked the APC leader for reacting to Governor Obaseki’s action asking why Tinubu has not  commented on the atrocities committed against innocent Nigerians by the government.

Some of them who criticised him questioned why he has not issued a statement on the Southern Kaduna killings and corruption allegations leveled against prominent Nigerian politicians, but was quick to react to a matter of insignificant magnitude.

According to them, Governor Obaseki has refused to be controlled by political godfathers and so should be allowed to lead his people in his  own way.
