BBNAIJA: Africa Magic remorseful after Kiddwaya Glitch

Africa Magic, part organizer of the Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality TV show has apologised after they labelled  housemate Kiddwaya a flirt.

Earlier in the day, viewers of the show expressed contempt over the post updated on Twitter, which was a response to Kiddwaya’s attitude towards Erica.

The post described the situation between three housemates, Erica, Laycon and Kiddwaya, especially from the previous night after it appeared Kidd kissed Erica despite her drunken state.

The act by Kidd didn’t go down well with Laycon as he found it so disrespectful and didn’t hide what he felt about the situation.

This prompted Africa Magic to be identified as a philanderer in their post.

Part of the Africa Magic post, which BBNaija viewers found fault in, reads,

“Take a look at the man Erica chose to giver her heart to, Kiddwaya. He has been a serial flirt and though Erica was one of his targets, she wasn’t his first choice like she was for Laycon.”

Following the Africa Magic post, the hashtag #JusticeForKiddwaya started trending as Nigerians expressed their dissatisfaction with the post.

A viewer of the show wrote on Twitter:

“This clearly shows that the sponsors already have a winner.”

It’s a pity that @africamagictv would stoop so low to sell a narrative that was completely different from what we watched. It is a shame that you would write with such unprofessional conduct. Kiddwaya is not an exploiter,” wrote another fan of the show.

Reacting to the backlash, the organizers of the show took to their social media page to tender an apology to the viewers who feel offended by the statement.

The post reads:

Well that was embarrassing! We admit we got a little too carried away and we let our emotions get the best of us. Please remember that the power, as always, remains in your hands. #BBNaija
