I Am Not Dead, Baba Suwe Cries Out

Nollywood actor, Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe has refuted the rumour of his death, saying peddlers of such fake news are wicked and insensitive.

Some section of the social media were filled with report that the actor has died, as some fans, on Friday, commiserated with his family on the rumoured death.

Speaking with Tribune Online in a telephone interview, on Friday,  Baba Suwe expressed shocked and dissatisfaction over the death rumour, stressing that even though he was ill, he is now getting better.

The comic actor said he had received several calls from family and friends about the rumoured death, a situation he said has now become a source of worry.

“Anybody that wants me dead should go ahead of me and wait for me in heaven. It is very disturbing that people could wake up, spread false news about you, especially a sensitive and wicked news at that. I am alive. I am well. I will be fine. I am not dead. I don’t think a dead man could be talking to you as I am right now, ” he said.
