Aisha Buhari Returns To Nigeria After Six Months In Dubai

Wife of the President, Hajia Aisha Buhari had come under severe criticism from skeptical Nigerians over the motif and propriety of her recent journey to the United Arab Emirates in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Mrs. Buhari revealed her return to the country on Saturday saying she survived a severe turbulence on her way back to the country as she praised the professionalism of the flight crew.

Following her medical evacuation, she went on to charge that Nigeria should take measures to stem medical tourism.

“On our way back, the Nigerian Air Force flight encountered a violent clear air turbulence which was navigated safely and professionally by the captain and crew of the flight,” she said before going to advocate against medical tourism.

However, her comments has caused outrage on social media as Nigerians went to twitter to upbraid her for supposedly playing on the intelligence of Nigerians with her admonitions.

Those not finding fault with her admonition accused the First Lady of using the excuse of illness to go on a shopping spree ahead of her daughter, Hannan’s wedding.
