What Kabaka, Edo APC Leaders Told DSS

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State have reiterated to the Department of State Services their determination to uphold the peace in the days leading to the September 19 governorship election in the state.

The APC leaders had been summoned by the DSS for a parley last Saturday where commitments were gotten from the party chieftains.

The DSS had in a letter dated August 20, 2020 invited ten APC leaders for the meeting GWG gathered held last Saturday.

The ten invited were Tony Adun (Aka Kabaka) Osakpamwan Eriyo, National Chairman, RTEAN, Ehis Adams, APC Leader Oredo, Osaro Idahosa, APC Leader, Ikpoba-Okha, Okunbor Roberts, APC Leader, Ovia South West LGA, Atarodo, APC member, Kingsley Amedo, APC member, Richard Obe, APC member, Osarobo Idehen, APC member, Dr Emma, APC member.”

GWG gathered that the leaders at the meeting told the security operatives that they had been operating under a peaceful environment as they pledged their determination to sustain peace even when provoked.

The leaders it was gathered also informed the DSS that the rallies of the APC had passed on almost uneventfully pledging to sustain the same tempo in the days ahead.
